Trees All Day Tree Service is licensed and insured. We carry full insurance including general liability, workers comp, and vehicle insurance. When you hire us you know you are covered. Not every tree company has this and it is important to be licensed and insured to protect you the consumer.

We perform each job following ANSI Z133 safety standards as well ANSI A300 pruning standards. These are industry standards for tree work, they are developed by tree biologists and officials in the tree industry to set a standard for tree work.

By following ANSI Z133 tree workers wear protective gear, use tools correctly and safely, use proper climbing gear and techniques, use proper tree rigging gear and techniques, and set their job sites up in a safe manner. By following ANSI A300 standards tree workers will not trim or prune a tree in a manner that is harmful to it. They will not make unnecessary or harmful cuts to the tree. They will however, prune trees in a way that will benefit the tree making it stronger and healthier. They will also make proper cuts so that the tree can recover in the best way from the cut.

Does it make a difference if the tree company is you hire is licensed, insured, and follows industry standards?

There are tree companies that do not have proper licensing and insurance. They may or may not follow industry standards. You might get good results from using one of these companies, but what if something goes wrong during the job? You don’t want to be left taking care of a problem like that. While these companies can sometimes be cheaper than a reputable tree company, the risk is much greater to the consumer.

Not all tree companies follow ANSI A300 pruning standards. There are a few reasons for this. It is often more difficult to follow these standards because an arborist must analyze the tree and focus diligently on making the proper cuts and directing the trees future growth. This is requires knowledge of tree biology and correct pruning techniques.

It is also more difficult to access a tree for this type of pruning because the arborist must climb the tree and access challenging branches without the use of climbing spikes. The arborist must also leave interior branch growth and not damage it while climbing. This is a difficult task that requires a skilled climber.

It is much easier and less time consuming to just simply top a tree or do what is called lions-tailing. These practices can be done from a bucket truck, a lift, or by climbing but require much less thought or consideration for the future of the tree. These practices are very bad for the health and structure of the tree and are condemned by all reputable tree professionals.

Trees All Day Tree Service is committed to the best practices for tree health. We will not do things that are known to be detrimental to a tree’s health.
